Burnt Ship Bay Estate Winery is a family-run winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, producing award winning wines from winemaker Fred DiProfio.
Burnt Ship Bay Estate Winery Ltd. was founded by Luciano Puglisi and Marcel Morgenstern in 2013. The winery focuses on producing wines made from our grapes grown in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario.
Lou Puglisi (top right), who manages the Burnt Ship Bay Estate Winery vineyards, was named Ontario’s Grape King in 2008. Lou also owns Pondview Estate Winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Marcel Morgenstern (left) started his career in the Niagara wine industry as a tour guide and management positions with other well-recognized Niagara wineries before joining the Pondview & Burnt Ship Bay Estate Winery team. He has been selling and promoting VQA Niagara wines for the past 15 years.
All Burnt Ship Bay wines are crafted by award winning winemaker Fred DiProfio (bottom right).
Fred, a graduate of Brock University’s Oenology and Viticulture program, has made a name for himself in the Ontario wine industry by winning national and international awards for his rich red wines, refreshing white wine and heavenly Icewines.
